Jessica Malek brings over 25 years of nonprofit experience to the TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND team in her new role as Director of Development and Education, which will focus largely on maintaining and growing philanthropic support and leading TITAS’ community education programs.
Grounded in performing arts and guided by several visionary leaders, she has devoted her career to developing equitable pathways to success in life through innovation and creativity.
Jessica is returning to TITAS after 18 years working in a variety of leadership positions at several Dallas-based nonprofits. Having felt the call to the arts throughout her life, Jessica was thrilled when presented with the opportunity to return to TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND and continue the powerful work she began for TITAS when she served as Production and Outreach Manager from 1997-2004.
Most recently, Jessica served as the Associate Director for UNT Dallas’ Principal Impact Collaborative, an organization dedicated to developing bold, equity-driven and resilient education leaders who strengthen our public schools. Prior to that, Jessica served as Chief Strategy Officer for Big Thought.
Jessica sees herself as a practical optimist with a hint of good-natured sarcasm. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Texas A&M University.
Steve is thrilled to be joining the brilliant, inspiring team at TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND in a supporting role. Rumors indicate he did a happy dance when getting the news that he would be a part of the TITAS. He spent the first two decades of his career in the corporate financial jobs before happily making the move to the nonprofit world where he has managed the finances of nonprofit organizations for the last 20 years. He is jazzed about the opportunity to use those skills at his new work home in the Arts District supporting cultural growth in his home town. Decorations on his office wall include diplomas for a BA in Literature and an MBA, along with a best daddy certificate in crayon. When not working, he enjoys time with his family and friends, reading, writing short stories, and driving a sports car at the racetrack.
