–Balletco Forum
Sexy, explosive, and completely original—Ballets Jazz Montréal (BJM) arrives in Dallas with one of this season’s most anticipated tour de force in Dance Me. Developed with the personal blessing of Leonard Cohen, Dance Me is more than a tribute; it is a breathtaking translation of a legend’s soul into physical form.
BJM doesn’t just move to Cohen’s songs—they surrender to it. Through movement, they capture the mood and essence that made Cohen such an icon. From the depth of his voice to the sharp wit of his lyrics, these world-class dancers embody the very rhythm of his poetry. The result? A performance where impeccable technique meets raw, individual personality.
Tributes are often echoes but Dance Me is the roar. Don’t just watch the music. See it.

“[Pilobolus] reminds us that the body, in all its complexity, is the most powerful instrument of all.”
–STAGE AND CINEMA
Pilobolus has always been a rebel in the dance world. A rule breaker, an innovator—which makes them a perfect fit for TITAS.
It all started with three college students: Moses Pendleton, an English literature lover and cross-country skier; Jonathan Wolken, a philosophy and science scholar who also fenced; and Steve Johnson, a pre-med student and pole vaulter. They created a dance they called Pilobolus, and from that small beginning grew a legacy of movement, imagination, and a little bit of magic.
Blast off into the Pilobolus multiverse with Trips, a seamless journey through gravity-defying feats and emotional landscapes. Each piece flows seamlessly into the next, featuring explosive athleticism, physical poetry, and sly humor that will transport you on a journey to infinite realities. From the skies to the soul to galaxies beyond, Trips isn’t just a series of works—it’s a single, shifting experience led by an intergalactic captain on a voyage through Pilobolus.
An “Irreplaceable Dance Treasure,” their work is groundbreaking, inventive, and unmistakably their own. Many have tried to imitate the style, but Pilobolus is the original. Come share in the live experience that is Pilobolus.

Irresistibly joyful, tightly synchronized, and completely ingenious, Step Afrika! always brings the house down, and The Evolution Tour is coming to TITAS! As the first professional company devoted to the tradition of “Stepping,” they’ve taken this electrifying art form all over the world—touring more than 60 countries and earning a spot among the top 10 African American dance companies in the United States.
Stepping has grown into one of America’s most exciting cultural exports. It began in the early 1900s on historically black college campuses, where African American fraternities and sororities—today known as the Divine Nine— used it to show pride, unity, and love for their organizations.
Watching Step Afrika! is something special. Their precision is jaw-dropping, their creativity is boundless, and the joy they bring to the stage is absolutely contagious.
If you’re looking for a performance that will lift your spirit and get your heart pounding, this Martin Luther King Jr. weekend show is one you won’t want to miss.

“Lake constructs a supernatural atmosphere that oscillates between dream and reality.”
–THE MONTREALER ONLINE
Alan Lake Factori(e) returns to Dallas with another remarkable work that dives into myth, perception, and the many ways we interpret the world around us. Dallas audiences first experienced Alan Lake with the astonishing Le Cri Des Méduses in 2023—a stunning blend of visual art and performance that left audiences on their feet. It was the kind of powerful live experience you simply can’t capture on a screen. You have to be in the room to feel it.
In his newest creation Orpheus, Alan Lake turns to the ancient myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, exploring the redemptive power of art and what it means to be human. He builds an immersive world where image, movement, light, and physical materials all come together, creating a stage picture that is as striking as it is thought-provoking.
Founded in 2007 and based in Quebec City, Alan Lake Factori(e) is a multidisciplinary contemporary dance company known for pushing beyond traditional boundaries. Lake’s work asks questions, reimagines familiar ideas, and invites audiences to see things from a new perspective.
As part of our TITAS/UNFILTERED Series, where we present bold, progressive work that challenges expectations, enthrall audiences and sparks conversation, we are thrilled to welcome Alan Lake Factori(e) back to Dallas for another unforgettable evening.

–THE TIMES UNION
Tango is enjoying a surge of popularity around the world. As Pamela Tatge of Jacob’s Pillow puts it, “[Social Tango] is a dazzling performance that showcases … talented Argentinian artists and local tango dancers as well.” And that’s exactly what makes this event so special.
With ten dancers, five musicians, and the meaningful participation of local tango communities in every city they visit, this is far more than a typical night at the theater. It’s an experience you can step into as much—or as little—as you like.
Founded in 2012 by Ramón de Oliveira César and Agustina Videla, Social Tango celebrates not just the beauty and complexity of tango, but the heart and spirit behind it.
It’s a joyful evening filled with captivating dancing and vibrant music. And just when you think the night is over, something magical happens: the dancers invite the audience up on stage for an impromptu tango lesson.
“Special” hardly does it justice. Come be part of the tango experience, join the fun, be in the room and and experience a night at the theater unlike any other.

“A stunning jaw dropping fusion of acrobatics, gymnastics, bboying, modern dance, and ballet.”
–THE WASHINGTON POST
Bold, masculine, and thrilling only begin to describe the work of Hervé Koubi. Now a true TITAS favorite, there’s simply no other internationally touring dance company doing what Hervé Koubi and his dancers do on stage. Drawing from his Algerian roots, Koubi’s signature work What the Day Owes to the Night is surprising, deeply moving, and jaw-dropping all at once.
The piece blends capoeira, martial arts, urban dance, and contemporary movement into something entirely its own. Twelve powerful male dancers from around the world take the stage, flipping, flying, and seemingly defying gravity— and expectations—at every turn. The imagery is breathtaking, inspired by Orientalist paintings and the intricate stone patterns found in Islamic architecture. Koubi weaves these influences together into a rich and complex work that follows its own path.
The return of Hervé Koubi is eagerly anticipated and warmly welcomed. A TITAS Favorite through and through, this is without question a performance you won’t want to miss.

Every season, TITAS takes a close look at the international touring scene to see which artists are emerging with something truly distinctive. This year, that company is YUE YIN Dance Company (YYDC).
Founded in 2018, YUE Yin has become known for a movement vocabulary that is entirely her own. She calls it FOCO Technique™—a contemporary dance language rooted in Chinese classical and folk traditions and shaped by the layered influences of the immigrant experience.
What stands out most when watching YUE’s work is the sheer density of movement, the shifting dynamics she weaves into each phrase and the incredible magnetic quality of the dancers.
YYDC is distinctive, powerful, and exhilarating to watch. There’s nothing quite like the excitement of discovering an artist at this moment, and YUE YIN Dance Company is exactly that kind of discovery.
